Theatre at eye-level
Or Theatre with the risk of finding your own self.
In search of new interactive forms of theatre performance, we came across the labyrinth: a place welcoming performers and spectators, a space giving birth to a new relationship. Built from an old construction system, the labyrinth is defined as an experimental space. Inside, the performers deeply immerse themselves in the artistic process when interacting with the audience (as well as with each other). They are accompanied by live music. An intercultural performance, a work of art, a meeting space that brings artists and audience together in a new concept!
Theater in change
With klimaX, the antagon ensemble has created a production that fulfils its cultural and
social responsibility, but also expands the idea of theater in public space.
As a result of the restrictions caused by the pandemic, the awareness for the importance of our local environment has arisen. The theatre group tries to extend this awareness to the context of society as a whole, in order to address the future challenges of our
system and to provoke a social reaction.
At an emotional, rational and collective level, new perspectives have been explored for a region that is particularly affected by climate change.
A region in which we live, which nourishes us and which we can only preserve together.
Theater concept that arose in times of pandemics
antagon is returning to its roots: street theatre. Topics are dealt considering what has recently moved society and the collective living space, such as an imposed physical distance. Loneliness, longing for connection, being separated, social and work pressures, as well as a possible return to Nature.
Transdisciplinary performance laboratory
for the development of future cultural work
The bodyLab is a communication space between artists and audience. It aims at developing socially relevant performances and events in theater culture: dancers, actors and actresses, acrobats, video makers and musicians all come together. Talented and inspiring choreographers such as Anna Orkolainen and Barbara Luci Carvalho have already presented their “Work in Progress” about their multidisciplinary theatrical studies, which were accompanied by live music and, in some cases, video installations.
